What is the process involved if I am interested in improving my smile?
These are questions I get from patients interested in cosmetic dentistry. We start with a consultation to see what your goals are. We will also take photographs, study models, an examination of your teeth, and x-rays. The teeth on the study models can be altered with tooth-colored wax to simulate what your new smile could look like. This is called a diagnostic wax-up. This gives us a better understanding of what is needed to give you the smile you desire. This is the best way to properly plan your treatment.
What are some of the cosmetic dentistry treatments involved in improving my smile?
Sometimes treatment would be porcelain veneers, crowns, bonding, recontouring, or even just teeth whitening.
